Nobody really knows how podofilox gel works apparently, but it does work – on genital warts and those on the outside of the anus – remember that it is only to be used externally, keep it firmly on the outside.
Scientifically speaking Podofilox gel is an antimitotic – so if you have allergies to antimitotics don’t use the gel.
You also should not use this gel if you are pregnant, hoping to get pregnant or breast feeding a baby.
Don’t use this cream if you’re already using any other type of medication including herbal preparations, over the counter type medications – you might get a bad reaction.
Here’s how you use it:
- Only put it on the warts which your doctor has okay’d
- Always wash your hands straight after you’ve applied the gel and if you get any in your eyes flush them out immediately and get in touch with your doctor
- If you feel burning or pain after you’ve applied the gel wash it off as quickly as you can
- If you’ve got any left over after your treatment is finished pop it into a plastic bag and follow the instructions from your doctor.
As you may have guessed Podofilox gel is some serious gear – handle with care.

Genital warts can be a very difficult condition to deal with. Any condition that is affecting the lower parts of your body can be quite embarrassing, so many people put off treatment until their condition becomes very serious. If you are experiencing any unpleasant sensations down there, you need to master your anxiety and see a doctor right away.
When it comes to allergy relief, many people turn to diphenhydramine. This antihistamine has been used to help relieve allergic reactions for years with successful results. In addition to relieving stuffy noses, this allergy medicine relieves itchiness, rashes and allergy eyes.
