This message speaks to the issues of the world's poor and the expectations of God for his family. If non-poor are willing to make a concentrated effort to curb the attitude of overconsumption, it is possible to make a major difference in the lives of the poor. If Christians in America all gave the full tithe of ten percent, there would be enough available money to finance programs to feed all the poor, educate all the children, provide everyone with access to clean water, and reverse the spread of AIDS and malaria. All of us can commit to be a part of God's plan, God's economy, which is to be people with open hands so that those with so little can have enough.
